THREAD Artist Residency in Sinthian Senegal West Africa 2016.

In the Fall of 2016 I was honored to be an artist in residence at Thread.

With the generosity of the village and the team there I was able to intersect with many people to learn and teach many different things as well as collaborate with several members of the village.  This included Yoga, various drawing classes, ceramic techniques and firing, the creation of a multimedia installation in homage to the women of Sinthian and many lessons in gardening, watering, cooking, beekeeping and Pular.

The exchange was rich and life altering and I am forever thankful.
